Achieving 0.01mm Flange Concentricity with LCK900 Vertical CNC Lathe in Russia

Client Background:

A Russian industrial group manufacturing large flanges and gear blanks for mining and energy equipment. Workpiece diameters are large, and traditional horizontal lathes struggled with loading and concentricity stability.

Solution:

We recommended the LCK900 vertical CNC lathe with 900mm maximum cutting diameter, 1000mm swing, 900mm machining height, and a 22kW spindle motor. The vertical spindle design allows gravity-assisted clamping and stable heavy cutting, while the 8/12-station turret enables multiple operations in one setup.

Implementation:

Our engineers traveled to Russia for on-site installation and commissioning, and provided two weeks of operator training covering programming, operation, and maintenance.

Results:

Flange concentricity is now controlled within 0.01mm, and single-piece machining time has been cut by 50%. The client is now negotiating a second batch purchase.
