Cost-Effective CNC Machining Center Alternative to Japanese Equipment for Precision Mold Manufacturing in Indonesia

Client Background:

Indonesian manufacturer producing precision mechanical parts and molds. They had long relied on Japanese-brand machining centers and were hesitant to switch, but capacity expansion required a cost-effective alternative.

Solution:

We supplied the VMC855 vertical machining center with 800×550mm table, 800/550/550mm X/Y/Z travels, 7.5/11kW spindle motor, 24-tool ATC magazine, and Newade CNC system – fully compatible with their existing equipment.

Implementation:

Two trial machines were shipped to Jakarta, with our engineers handling installation, commissioning, and on-site operator training. The client ran multiple production batches to evaluate performance.

Results:

Machining accuracy and efficiency matched comparable Japanese models, while total cost was significantly lower. The client signed a follow-on purchase agreement with potential for dozens more units this year.
